From smooth and harmonious melodies with textured guitar riffs on “Real Me” to her
famously fierce demeanor flowing through sharp lyrics over booming 808’s on “Ooo Yea”, BACKWOOD BRAT shows listeners on Give n’ Take that there’s another side to the Long Beach rapper, as she explains, “You get to see both sides of me on this project. Not just the hard trapper rapper, but the vulnerable side too. The album is a mirror of me – give n' take.” Give n’ Take showcases BACKWOOD BRAT’s incredible versatility as an artist, with eccentric energy exploding over enticing beats (“In My Bag”), introspective reflections (“Again”), diversity of flows within single tracks (“Why U So Mad”), and smooth instrumentals over which she showcases her talent as a singer (“Battlewounds”).
